The Field Engineer provides technical assistance to customers for installation, operation, service and repair of the Company’s products. The Field Engineer is responsible for customer satisfaction and will have responsibility for driving revenue through the execution of his/her duties. He/She works closely with Sales & Marketing as well as other departments in the organization to help ensure the success of our customers. Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Work with customers to install and test equipment. Train customers on the use and operation of equipment. Provide excellent customer support.
• Troubleshoot equipment at customer sites via telephone or in person. Determine cause of problems and recommend solutions. Follow up on actions taken to resolve problems.
• Work with Service Engineering Technicians (SET) who are assigned to work directly with you. Provide guidance to SET’s as needed. Assist in training of new SET’s as required.
• Conduct periodic reviews of field activities with Service Managers. Discuss issues relating to performance, compliance with procedures, safety, quality, etc. Review job action plans with managers as appropriate.
• Communicate with internal departments regarding sales orders, backlog, ship dates, special customer needs, warranty claims, service contracts, service manuals, parts status, etc.
• Maintain records related to engineering services provided by department personnel. Record maintenance includes reporting time, expense reports, customer information forms, case files, activity logs, schedules, etc.
• Participate in training sessions conducted by other departments. Ensure all technical aspects of product and service can be delivered effectively to the customer.
• Become familiar with all departmental policies and procedures including those pertaining to quality assurance, patent infringement, environmental health and safety, confidentiality, etc.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with marketing, sales, production, purchasing, shipping, service technicians and other departments within the organization. These contacts are necessary to provide satisfactory follow-through on engineering related matters.
• Interact with senior level management on matters involving customer complaints, technical issues, product design improvements, manufacturing specifications, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive products and their features and limitations.
• Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, trade shows, conventions, seminars, etc., when requested.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute.
• Knowledge of medical device industry regulations (FDA), quality system requirements (ISO13485), and electromagnetic compatibility (EMc).
• Experience troubleshooting electronics systems. Ability to read electronic schematics.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Bilingual (Spanish and English) desirable.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
*The position is for daily work in any of these boroughs : Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $86,400.00-$129,600.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
