Direct Service Providers - SJVA

AMHC is excited to be in collaboration with St. John Valley Associates. This has opened up new opportunities and careers for the community. At this time, we are excited to announce the availability of Direct Service Professional (DSP) positions in the Madawaska area. DSPs work with adults who are developmentally and intellectually disabled and support the individuals to integrate into the community, encouraging outside-of-the-home activities and community involvement. DSPs must be motivated, self-starters, have a strong work ethic, enjoy connecting with people, and enjoy assisting people to pursue their interests and develop relationships outside of their homes. The chosen candidate will be expected to demonstrate our core values by showing Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect to co-workers, clients, and community members.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Collaborate with clients and providers to provide an individualized plan that is Service-focused.
• Provide Respectful and Compassionate services that support the individual's emotional, physical, and personal well-being.
• Demonstrate the Integrity of the program by being timely and observing all agency policies and procedures for the safety and well-being of the individuals with the Excellence they deserve.

Schedule:

• This is a 32-hour-per-week position

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transcription are required.
• DSP certification is preferred
• US Passport is prefered.
