Industrial Maintenance Technician– Forklift/MHE & Refrigeration

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility infrastructure, machinery, and material handling equipment, including forklifts and other motorized lifts.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, MHE, and general facility equipment.
- Complete work orders and accurately document all tasks in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct inspections, evaluations, and testing of equipment and facility systems; report findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor contractors working on or near facility systems or refrigeration equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety of facility and MHE systems.
- Assist with maintenance of Freon refrigeration systems as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1+ years mechanical experience maintaining motorized lifts, forklifts, warehouse, processing, or manufacturing equipment, or equivalent combination of experience and trade school.
- 1+ years industrial refrigeration experience (Freon, ammonia, and/or CO₂) preferred, but secondary to MHE/facility maintenance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CMMS software.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Ability to work in cold storage (-20°F / -25°C) and dry storage (up to 100°F / 37°C) environments while wearing required PPE.
- Able to lift and move a minimum of 40 lbs (18 kgs).
- Comfortable with varying noise levels and occasional work at heights.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
