About the role:
As a Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy you will work with Westinghouse's Business Unit Presidents, their staff, Digital and Innovation leaders, Product Managers, and other functional stakeholders to help shape the strategy of the company considering fast-changing market dynamics in global nuclear energy.
You will report to the Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA headquarters location. Hybrid Work Schedule.
Responsibilities:

Lead the identification and assessment of strategic growth opportunities in collaboration with the executive team, Business Unit leaders and their staff

Lead teams of leaders, for delivering high-quality strategic assessments and plans

Lead in-depth competitor analysis exercises with important partners across Westinghouse

Support Westinghouse's owners in their evaluation of all markets, technologies, and acquisitions

Work with experienced colleagues within and outside of the Strategy function so that expertise and business knowledge across the company can be used and incorporated into assessments

Collaborate with Corporate Development team to determine and decide on the strategic fit for targeted acquisitions

Stay informed about industry trends, and their impacts to Westinghouse

Report out to executive management on market possible effects, strategic assessments, and overall strategic planning process milestones

Support the annual Enterprise Strategic Planning process for Westinghouse and our subsidiaries to form the underpinning for Westinghouse's five-year plan
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or relevant subjects

MBA or equivalent from a top program

5 or more years of cumulative business experience, including 1-2 years post-MBA at a major top tier Management Consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, LEK). Preference for experience in manufacturing, energy, or utility industry. Also, a couple of years of experience in engineering or product management or operations or commercial is preferable

You are a strategy practitioner well versed in the theory and tools of strategy formulation and the practical implementation of strategy within a complex organization

Well-honed understanding of the important levers to deliver total shareholder return (TSR), and project experience pulling these levers

Experience dealing with strategic issues including microeconomics, industry structure, operations strategy, and finance

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle – with experience applying these skills in managing large teams and leading complex projects
-
International experience is a plus but is not required
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $144,000 to $180.000 per year.
