What We Offer

The Production Operator perform daily activities that are associated with starting up the processing, monitoring / controlling / documenting reaction operations, shutting down processing, and responding to alarms and emergency situations. In this role, you must demonstrate excellence in Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) behavior and must adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards.

Major Responsibilities

  • Give Safety, Health, and Environment the priority
  • Accept personal stewardship of Environment by understanding the potential impact of job activities, plant-wide activities, and business to protect it during daily activities.
  • Make Safe Choices. All rules and procedures must be followed. Unsafe practices will not be tolerated. Each employee is required to meet the standards
  • Prevent future incidents. Each employee must submit Near Miss Reports and participate in the investigations / corrective actions. Report all incidents and Near Misses. Share learning, and learn when others share
  • Use Root Cause Analysis to correct unsafe behavior
  • Participate in Safety Meetings and SHE related activities (Safety Committee, Housekeeping Team, HSE Training, Audits, etc.).
  • Quality:
    • Participation in ISO 9001 quality systems
    • Follow instructions issued by QC or R&D
    • Assist with troubleshooting in event of quality problems
    • Participate in CAR reports including investigations and corrective actions
  • Production Tasks:
    • Start up and shut down of process equipment
    • Stage, Weigh, Use, and Add raw materials to various vessels
    • Coordinate and prioritize several task at one time
    • SAP data entry and ERP system training on any new revision
    • Access Data Entry for Quality information and Maintenance Work Orders
    • Communicate process and mechanical problems to appropriate staff members
    • Participate in daily operational meetings as required

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing
  • 1+ years’ experience in handling of hazardous chemicals
  • 1+ years’ experience in driving forklifts
  • 1+ years’ experience in using controls systems (DCS)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic understanding of computing including e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Knowledge of the reaction processes, including process description and chemistry, to the extent required to participate in PSM Hazard Studies
  • Knowledge and fluency of the Distributive Control System (DCS)
  • Required Physical Demands
    • Climbing Stairs
    • Repetitive Movements
    • Handling and moving 55 gallon fiber drums
    • Lifting of 60 pounds
    • Wearing chemical suites, respirator/SCBA
    • May work in hot or cold environments
    • Hearing Protection may be required for certain tasks
