Registered Nurse, Same Day Surgery Operating Room

About the role

Join our team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse at HealthPartners Same Day Surgery! Our collaborative team works hard to support each other while still allowing for independence. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, this position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care needs of assigned pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient.  He/she is directly responsible for coordinating intraoperative plan of care for the patient and indirectly responsible through coordination and information sharing of both pre- and post-operative care. The above staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area.  The skill and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Ability to pick up a variety of shifts as available. Shifts are Monday - Friday days. No nights, evenings, or weekends expected. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a baccalaureate program in nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with Perioperative course OR 1 year of operating room RN experience without the course OR Licensed Registered Nurse with 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant
  • Licenses as a Registered Nurse by the State of Minnesota
  • CPR Certified

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of perioperative course prior to hire
