About the role
Williams Lea is hiring for a Sr. Hospitality Associate for our New York City office to work Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm! NEW GRADUATES ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!
Pay: $24.70 - $26.00/hour

Job qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) year hospitality services experience in a legal, banking or corporate environment or three (3) years of experience in hospitality, restaurant or housekeeping industry
- Able to make independent decisions that conform to business needs and policy.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills required.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and complete all projects in a timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Professional attire and demeanor required.
- Good written communication skills.
- Good problem solving skills, with the ability and understanding of when to escalate a problem to a supervisory level.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment.

- Ability to anticipate client’s needs for meetings and events.

Job duties
(* denotes an “essential function”)
- * Under minimal supervision, check conference room and meeting scheduler throughout shift and make note of any changes to ensure meetings are set-up accurately.
- *Set up conference rooms according to client’s request, including audio/visual equipment, food, beverages, utensils, ice, etc.
- *Build strong relationships with clients and team members, creating a collaborative workplace.
- * Clean conference rooms after use and return property to vendors if necessary.
- * Prepare coffee and other beverages in assigned kitchens at the beginning of each shift.
- * Clean coffee makers in each kitchen in the evening.
- * Wash and polish dishes and glassware
- * Bring food and/or deliveries from messenger center to specified floor, as needed.
- Communicate with supervisor or client on meeting request concerns or deadline issues.
- Maintain inventory of catering supplies and order supplies as needed.
- Assist in training new hires.
- * Prioritize work flow and work with team to complete all tasks
- Assist in process improvement ideas.
- Answer telephone in hospitality center.
- Adhere to Williams Lea policies in addition to client site policies.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Provide back-up support to Reception and/or Office Services as needed, including:
- *Answer incoming calls, received on a multi-line phone system, in a cordial, professional manner. Transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- *Assist in scheduling of conference rooms and directing guests to appropriate spaces.
- *Greet clients and visitors to the office with warmth and professionalism. Notify employees of visitor's arrival when necessary.
- *Provide high level services to staff, clients, and guests.
- *Order catering for breakfast, lunches, and/or events and coordinate delivery to office, as needed.
- *Communicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues.
- *Handle additional projects as assigned. Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.
Working conditions
- General work environment is professional.
- Potential hazards are involved in working with hot food and cleaning supplies.
- Must be able to work standing up all or most of the time.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
