We are looking for engineers with expertise in MAC Layer concepts and firmware development. As a member of the Wireless Software team, you will design and develop MAC and physical layer software modules—covering both data and control paths—for various WLAN and UWB chipsets.</p> <p>Location: Daily onsite presence at our San Jose, CA&nbsp;headquarters in alignment with our Flexible Work policy</p> <p>Req: 42831</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with 802.11 WLAN chipsets, devices and protocols, including other networking devices</li> <li>Collaborate with wider teams to for end to end feature deliverables build and maintain production quality Firmware</li> <li>Design and develop modules in embedded firmware for Samsung’s Wireless Connectivity solutions</li> <li>Major focus will be implementing, unit testing and fixing issues various features of 802.11 MAC</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science Discipline with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master’s with 3+ years or PhD with 0+ years in field of wireless communication technologies.</li> <li>Excellent coding skills in C in embedded space for firmware development is critical.</li> <li>Ability to debug issues with low-level embedded software, custom/proprietary code and enhancements.</li> <li>WLAN standards, domai
