Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly driven and motivated SAP Business One Project Manager to join our expanding, international SAP Business One team. Candidates must be comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring that the value add and quality of delivery is the same for all clients, regardless of project size. As a Project Manager, we are looking for candidates who have a proactive approach to project delivery, working with the teams to deliver excellence always.

This key client facing role requires the combination of:

• Demonstrable SAP Business One project management experience
• Technical and commercial appreciation and,
• a honed client-engagement skill set that is both flexible and inspires confidence.

The role operates within the SAP B1 practice and across the many different industries in which Sapphire provides its services. From project mobilisation to go-live, this delivery role is at the forefront of Sapphire work to enhance and transform its client’s operations.

The candidate must possess strong client facing skills - with a demonstrable track record in managing financial accounting software or ERP implementations. The candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in ERP ideally 5 years within SAP Business One Project Management and be used to running multiple projects of all sizes (40-250+ man days). Knowledge of a structured project methodology is required. SAP Business One or By Design knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential. The candidate must also be able to work with global project & support teams and must therefore be able to plan own work accordingly. Excellent written and spoken English is a prerequisite for the position.

Project Manager responsibilities includes:

Candidates must be comfortable establishing and scheduling multiple projects concurrently, ensuring that the quality of delivery is the same for all clients, regardless of project size. The candidate must have a proactive approach to project delivery, an ability to put together and lead a team, whilst being able to confidently navigate both internal and client stakeholder structures.  

Client Management:

• Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple or small to medium-scale projects
• Anticipates client’s needs and proposes alternative business solutions
• Continually seeks and capitalises upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
• Demonstrates a genuine interest in their client’s operations and objectives
• Maintains client engagement through regular meetings and status reports
• Possess the ability to maintain a professional demeanour in times of high stress and the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and develop client relationships that result in positive unsolicited feedback.

Financial Management:

• Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for all projects under his/her direction
• Ensures that all timesheets are processed within the set requirement
• Able to identify and deliver change management activities
• Analyses and forecasts profitability, revenue, margins, and utilisation across own projects
• Addresses billing issues when they arise working with the account manager as appropriate
• Manages revenue goals set for own projects

Communication:

• Serves as a key participant and facilitator in team and client meetings
• Maintains clear and up to date project documentation
• Confronts issues openly and quickly
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors and peers in the business
