Job Description

ARHS Developments is looking for a SAP MM Consultant to join the S/4 HANA Team for the modernization/migration project of one of its clients at the EU Institutions.

Context

The client’s IT modernization project will significantly change the model of its financial reporting. As a SAP Expert, you will oversee the functional analysis of the project’s real-time reporting and the data extraction for the data migration.

The financial and accounting management is supported by a corporate information system consisting mainly of Accounting and Supply Asset Management modules (SAP ECC-based). Furthermore, it includes the Data warehouse (in-house developed using Oracle database and SAP Business Objects reporting) and a middleware (SAP PI service bus, Oracle service bus).

Striving for continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with the Financial Regulation and Accounting Rules, the client will revise its Information systems, as detailed in a business case on the modernization of the corporate finance system, to come to a new single Finance Platform base on S/4HANA

Implementing this platform will help to make the client’s financial IT landscape future-ready, improve its user experience, increase its capacity to process data and strengthen control of available date, raise cost-effectiveness, support reliable, consistent and timely information, and allow for predictive analytics and flexible modifications – whilst driving system robustness and business continuity.

The success of this implementation relies greatly on the adoption of S4H’s standard processes and industry best practices by keeping any customization or developments to be the bare minimum.

The program is structured in multiple phases following the SAP ACTIVATE methodology and the objective of this contract is to provide IT services and support for the Solution Design and Realization phase of the project.

Role & Responsibilities

As part of the SAP S4/HANA implementation project, the role includes amongst others the following activities, tasks and deliverables:

• Solution realization of the project (e.g. write detailed technical specifications, customize the solution in the development environment(s), including implementing the needed authorizations, workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and forms, unit and integration testing as per the approved testing strategy and approach for the program) with adequate level of quality.
• On-premise architecture
• Align technical specifications and solutions with budgetary expectations and stakeholder visions.
• Draft and complete the solution documentation, using Solution Manager and Focused Build.
• Participate and support the day-to-day tasks related to project management (e.g. planning, organizing, preparation and running tasks and activities within team or program level).
• Liaise smoothly and effectively between projects of the program and with other relevant service providers working on the program.

Qualifications

Technical skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equally relevant
• Experience with Data migration.
• Experience with SAP MM (Material Management).
• Expertise in IT systems architecture.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture models (specifically Service Oriented Architecture [SOA] and event-Driven Architecture [EDA]), frameworks and tools.
• Expertise in Messaging and specifically with the following features: reliability, security, correlation, routing, and "Message Exchange Patterns" (MEPs).
• Expertise in the interoperability domain.
• Good knowledge of information system governance.
• Good knowledge of quality procedures.
• Working knowledge of SAP interoperability technologies (e.g. RFC, XMB protocol).
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices (RUP,..).
• In-depth knowledge of analysis methodologies and notations (process modelling, data modelling) like En
