Job Description

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Site - Morning Shift in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will support a welcoming atmosphere while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to all visitors and personnel. Pay Rate: $16.38 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor for unusual conditions or activities within the location and promptly report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations, including evacuations and incident response, as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
