Lead Strategic Data Governance Initiatives for Digital Excellence
Digital is the multiplier that will allow DSCS (Development Sciences & Clinical Supply) to deliver better experiments faster, efficient filing and launch, more robust supply chains and higher-confidence decisions across the portfolio. The DSCS Digital Technologies organization is tasked with the mission to pioneer and deploy innovative digital technologies that drive the acquisition, automation and utilization of data to enhance insights, efficiency, and quality of DSCS processes and methods.
DSCS Digital is seeking a visionary and experienced Senior Director to lead our enterprise-wide CMC data governance strategy. This pivotal role will be responsible for establishing, driving, and scaling data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices to ensure data quality, compliance, and value realization across all digital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with DSCS Digital’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, including data stewardship, data quality management, metadata management, and data lifecycle policies.
Lead and harmonize CMC data strategy efforts across our Research & Development Division, our Manufacturing Division, IT, Quality and other relevant stakeholders to ensure an enterprise approach to data.
Oversee data policy creation, enforcement, and ongoing education to ensure enterprise-wide adoption and compliance.
Report on key data governance metrics, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and relevant committees.
Champion a culture of data-driven decision making and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Ph.D. with +6 years or B.S. with +8 years required with a concentration in a CMC-related discipline.
Experience in data governance, data management, or analytics, with specific experience in a leadership role.
Proven track record of developing and scaling data governance programs in complex, digital-focused environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence at all organizational levels and drive cross-functional alignment.
Experience with modern data management tools, cloud platforms, and enterprise data architectures is preferred.
