In this role, you will cover a territory that supports the mid-south region of the United States. The position can be based in the Dallas - Fort Worth Texas market.

What You’ll Do and Impact:
As a Welding Product Specialist, you'll serve as an expert in your field, supporting the mid-south region of the United States. The position is based in the Dallas - Fort Worth Texas market. The Welding Product Specialist is responsible for providing weld process expertise through a technical understanding of the Hobart Welding Products. The primary focus will be to identify and drive growth opportunities via product and sales related training to our retail channel. In other accounts, the specialist plays a supporting role in the sales process related to technical support and identifying market/competitive product trends. Serving the needs of our customers as part of a highly functioning team, inclusive of our channel partners, is a differentiator for Hobart Welding Products.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert driving welding process recommendations.
- Apply process, product, and technical expertise to train retail channel front line sellers.
- Collaborative account planning with the Sales team.
- May coordinate the involvement of the appropriate internal resources to assist with specific sales opportunities.
- Internal liaison relative to competitive positioning (value prop); innovation opportunities, voice of customer needs, providing expertise from division to Sales team.
- Create compelling, fact-based presentations that monetize the value of solutions to end-user customers.
- Conduct retail channel product demonstrations as necessary to show the value of solutions and drive product sales.
- Maintain consistent verbal/written communications and key activities between sales, retail channel and operating divisions.
- Provide strategic training & technical support for retail channel partners and end-users.
- Effectively manage assigned territory and prioritize through organizational practices which make the greatest impact on key accounts and activities.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Welding Engineering Technology and 2+ years of prior experience in the welding industry. BS in Welding Engineering preferred.
