What You'll Do
BambooHR is looking for an experienced business systems architect who can work alongside our product owners and business systems administrators to turn business requirements into technical specifications and a coherent technical strategy. The business systems architect should have a deep technical understanding of common business systems and be capable of understanding critical business processes related to marketing, sales, and customer service. In this position, you will advise business leaders and help them focus on process, technology, and operational improvements that create a transformative environment allowing BambooHR to grow exponentially.
You will:
- Solve complex, large-scale customer challenges to produce solutions that maximize full potential of existing software technologies
- Ensure that new business technologies added to BambooHR will work with existing technologies
- Coordinate cross-system integrations and data flows
- Advise business leaders and help translate business vision into requirements and technical specifications
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of business processes and effectively use technology to improve them
- Act as an executive-level strategic advisor who focuses on business transformation
- Communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs effectively to business stakeholders, and provide a delivery framework that ensures quality and success
- Identify impediments to our efficiency as a business and propose solutions
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, usability, and performance
- Demonstrate competency with agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with BambooHR HRIS architects to improve BambooHR HRIS integration with business systems
- Help build a business technology lifecycle roadmap
What You Need to Get the Job Done
Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working with various business leaders and be able to work in a highly collaborative way to discover the root issues to operational inefficiencies. You will need good communication skills and the ability to accurately communicate the current and future state of our use of business processes and software.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in technical leadership
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with the Salesforce Platform
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Experience in integrating business systems across multiple areas of business (sales, marketing, customer service, finance)
- Strong understanding of network and system development and deployment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, especially under pressure
- Above-average leadership, influence, and collaboration abilities
