Job Description

We are looking for a Senior IT Architect who will be to design complex applications for large scale EU systems.

The core activities of your role will include the creation of technical documentation and guiding of the development team to follow the design. There is also need for close collaboration both with the internal teams and the teams on the customer side. Customer approval of design decisions is an important parameter and as such communication skills for the purposes of conveying the design are important. The ultimate goal is the production of efficient design that are pragmatic, take into account the business requirements and abide to the inherent project limitations.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of overall technical experience on enterprise application development and design using Java enterprise technologies.
• At least 3 years of experience in the design and architecture of enterprise applications.
• Strong experience in microservice architecture design running on Kubernetes
• Experience in event-driven design.
• Experience on designing asynchronous communication applications using Apache Kafka.
• Experience in designing or developing applications for OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing or developing application using with Spring Boot or other similar frameworks.
• Ability to guide the development teams to follow the architecture design.
• Good writing skills and strong experience in technical documentation writing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal and written).
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant fields.

Bonus skills

• TOGAF Foundation and TOGAF Certified.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
• Experience using and/or administering ELK stack.
• Experience working with API Gateways, SSO, Security, Log aggregators, Application monitoring tools and Config servers.
• Experience with Application Performance Management and Monitoring tools.
• Understanding of Load Balancing, Routing, Failover and Self-healing.
• Understanding event driven design and Java workflow process engines.
• Experience in developing and deploying applications to cloud platforms.
• Experience in different architectural designs for complex enterprises.
• Industry recognized Technology Certifications.
