What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney’s GTF Engine Center (West Palm Beach, FL) team is searching for a Senior Manager (M5) to lead governance of supplier performance responsible for part-repair and supplying component inventory needed to support monthly engine overhaul schedules. This is a critical leadership role responsible for operational risk control and vendor accountability, with regular exposure to site and senior leadership.
You will be responsible for optimizing and strengthening the operating model across externally repaired hardware. This includes ensuring repair milestone discipline, quote and engineering approval velocity, return-to-service predictability, and ER purchase order accuracy -directly aligned to build stability, inventory integrity, and monthly financial objectives.
The person in this role will work regularly with Operations Management, Materials Management, Production Control, Quality, Finance, and Engineering. Success requires structured governance, disciplined follow-through, and the ability to translate performance signals into clear operational insight and corrective action.
The position owns three core pillars:
External Repair Execution Governance
Vendor Performance & Risk Accountability
Financial & Inventory Control Alignment
Key Responsibilities:
External Repair Execution Governance
Own end-to-end visibility of external repair flow (release through return-to-service).
Track repair milestone adherence, queue health, backlog aging, and turnaround time performance.
Ensure external repair execution aligns with validated monthly build schedules.
Identify and escalate hardware at risk of missing need-by dates.
Eliminate unmanaged aging and drive predictable return timelines.
Vendor Performance & Risk Accountability
Define and monitor KPIs including TAT, on-time delivery, approval cycle time, and backlog health.
Address vendor performance gaps through structured corrective action plans.
Lead quarterly business reviews and formal performance governance forums.
Serve as primary escalation owner for external repair execution issues.
Conduct vendor risk assessments and manage high-risk or single-source exposures.
Maintain structured escalation tracking with measurable remediation milestones.
Rotable Inventory Management & SV Cost Performance
Own rotable population strategy to ensure repaired material solutions reliably support engine planning and monthly build schedules.
Proactively manage rotable availability as a recovery lever when external repairs do not return on time, preventing material-driven work stops and directly protecting shop visit TAT.
Drive disciplined repair, salvage, and alternate recovery decisions to right-size rotable inventory, reduce SV cost exposure, and minimize unnecessary swaps or reactive expediting activity.
Financial & Inventory Control Alignment
Ensure ER PO accuracy and timely updates to support inventory integrity and monthly financial objectives.
Maintain vendor master data to ensure reporting accuracy, financial alignment, and audit compliance.
