Job Summary:

 

The Retail Associate at Red Mountain Resort supports daily operations at Red Mountain Outfitters, the resort’s retail and gear shop. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, merchandising, inventory support, and product knowledge to enhance the overall guest experience. The Retail Associate ensures the store is welcoming, well-stocked, and aligned with the resort’s wellness and adventure lifestyle brand.

 

Job Specifications:

 

• Onsite: Red Mountain Resort
• Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Part-Time
• Pay Rate: $13.70/hr. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with product selection, sizing, and recommendations based on guest needs and activities
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of resort activities and product offerings to answer guest questions effectively
• Operate POS system to process transactions, returns, and exchanges accurately
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory rotation, pricing, tagging, and display organization
• Support monthly inventory counts and report stock discrepancies or reordering needs
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the store, including dressing rooms and counters
• Create visually appealing displays aligned with seasonal promotions and brand standards
• Communicate special orders, out-of-stock items, or guest product feedback to the Retail Supervisor
• Stay informed about resort events and recreation offerings to guide guests effectively
• Assist with unpacking, steaming, folding, and merchandising new product arrivals
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in retail, hospitality, or guest service preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Basic computer skills and experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system
• Passion for wellness, travel, fitness, or outdoor adventure a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain organized and visually clean retail spaces
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak resort seasons
