Summary:

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all activities related to the project management. Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager will manage site operations, logistics, and compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale projects in construction or manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies. This role requires collaboration with local contractors, authorities, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project on time and within budget.

Job Scope and Tasks:

Pre-Construction Management

• Collaborate closely with the General Manager and other stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Develop strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess project viability and risks; prepare project plans covering timelines, resources, and budgets to meet client expectations.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to create detailed specifications and construction plans.
• Provide input into the engineering scope and oversee document submittals.

Construction Management

• Oversee site operations, managing contractors and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Supervise the project’s logistics, compliance with local permits, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Manage multiple project components simultaneously, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Implement safety and quality control protocols and conduct regular project status reviews to proactively address any risks.
• Liaise with local authorities to ensure all local regulatory requirements are met.

Financial Management

• Develop and manage the project’s budget, in collaboration with the Project Controller, ensuring cost estimation, tracking, and controls are in place.
• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow projections, and contract management.
• Review and approve expenses, invoices, and change orders, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Provide monthly cost summaries and financial status reports to stakeholders.

Post Construction Management

• Lead project closeout activities, including documentation, final inspections, and handover to the client.
• Evaluate overall project performance, capture lessons learned and implement best practices for future projects.
• Provide post-construction support to the client, addressing any warranty claims or issues promptly.
• Foster long-term client relationships for potential repeat business opportunities.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.
• PMP certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at Jeffersonville, OH, for the duration of the project.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera.
• Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CAD Inventor, SolidWorks, or CAD 3D.
