The Radiology Systems IT Unit is seeking an IT Application Analyst to join our Large Clinical Applications team, supporting the core imaging technologies used directly by the Radiology clinical practice across all Mayo sites. This role is primarily focused on supporting the Visage PACS diagnostic viewer, a mission-critical platform used by radiologists in a high-availability, patient-care environment spanning multiple regional sites.
This position will be responsible for Radiology IT tasks such as:
• Support and enhance enterprise Radiology imaging systems, with primary responsibility for the Visage PACS diagnostic viewer, including configuration, server management, and performance tuning.
• Provide advanced (Level 3) troubleshooting and problem resolution for clinical-facing issues, including DICOM workflow failures, viewer connectivity and performance, and integration-layer defects.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and other automation tooling supporting operational monitoring, scheduled tasks, and systems integration.
• Partner with project teams to implement and integrate imaging systems within the clinical environment, including EMR interoperability and HL7/DICOM interface management.
• Build and maintain monitoring and dashboards to support system observability across the Radiology infrastructure stack.
• Coordinate with vendor partners on escalations, patch cycles, and roadmap planning.
• Perform ongoing system maintenance ensuring high uptime, reliability, and performance across a multi-site enterprise deployment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including system requirements, integration designs, and troubleshooting and support references.
• Participate in the IT Change Management process, including testing, communication, and deployment of system updates and enhancements.
• Ensure all supported systems adhere to organizational information security policies and HIPAA requirements, maintaining compliance standards across the Enterprise IT environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting applications in a clinical environment with high demands for uptime and reliability. Successful candidates will have strong analytical skills, strong process orientation, documentation experience, and experience with Level 3 support. This position includes membership on an on-call rotation providing support to the Radiology systems.
This is a full-time, remote position within the United States. mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position including F1 OPT STEM.
Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s Degree with 2 years’ experience in business analysis. Vendor application certification may be required.
