Program Quality Engineer II

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Lead inspections and audits of manufacturing processes and products to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and generate reports that highlight areas for improvement.
- Lead and participate in customer and regulatory audits, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues and support project goals.
- Train and mentor junior quality engineers and quality inspectors on quality processes and best practices.
- Manage non-conformance reports and coordinate with relevant teams for disposition activities.
- Support supplier quality management activities, including supplier audits and assessments.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Qualifications The Employee Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience (or 1+ with a related Master’s degree) in a quality engineering role within the aerospace and defense industry.
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable Military and statutory Standards and Specifications.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Ability to analyze and interpret quality data and metrics.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
- Black Belt Certification in Six Sigma.
- Experience with statistical analysis and quality tools.
- Familiarity with supplier quality management practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to the aerospace and defense industry.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $74,581.13 - $102,549.04. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
