We invest in women leaders who are tackling the world’s greatest challenges – from gender-based violence to the climate crisis, economic inequities, and more. Vital Voices’ staff is headquartered in Washington, DC. In the coming years we have a bold vision to dramatically scale our impact. In early 2022, we opened the first ever Global Headquarters for Women’s Leadership, a 30,000+ sq. ft. historic building just blocks from the White House on 16th Street. It is a hub of activity, events, and collaborations — bringing together women leaders and their allies to tackle the world’s greatest challenges. 

 

VV100 is Vital Voices most ambitious fellowship to date.  

  

Beyond a traditional fellowship, VV 100 is a high-trust, globally visible initiative designed to accelerate women-led systems change—and to model a more participatory, relationship-driven approach to philanthropy.  

  

This is a rare opportunity to help build a new best-in-class fellowship supporting leaders from the ground up.

Summary 

The Program Director, VV100 will work directly under the supervision and guidance of the VP, Global Network & Issue Advocacy. The Program Director, VV100 is a senior, hands-on leader responsible for building and executing the VV100 Fellowship in its formative phase.  

This is a ground-floor role. The Program Director will translate vision into reality—putting strong project management systems in place, driving execution across multiple workstreams, and building trusted partnerships with fellows, partners, funders, and global allies.  

 This is a senior role with small-team leadership, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to move complex work forward through relationships.  

This position is based in Washington, DC with the option of a hybrid work schedule. We are not accepting remote candidates at this time.
