Summer 2026 Plant Intern

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

• Work in different areas in the plant to gain familiarity with process flow
• Work with blending, spray drying, packaging and storing operations of specialized dairy products
• Assist in compilation and analysis of production and operational data
• Perform short projects supporting continuous improvement, optimization, and operational efficiency
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

The qualified candidate will be a junior or senior in the fall of 2026 with a degree focus in Food/Dairy Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations/Manufacturing Management, Food/Dairy Manufacturing or related field.
