Job Description

Hourly Pay Rate: $17.00 - $30.00

This is a floating position throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties. The officer will make different wage based upon the financial institution they are working for the shift.

The hours will vary, but this role will be approx 3-4 days per week. Working weekdays, the shifts will be 8:45-4:15, working Saturdays, the shift will be 8:45-2:15. Candidates must be available for Saturdays.

 

Allied Universal is seeking an armed Security Professional to stand and be a criminal deterrent at various banking centers in the Sarasota/Manatee County area. The officer will stand outside for the majority of their shift. When the heat index reaches a certain temp, the officer is allowed to go inside for breaks.

Candidates must have a valid Class G license with proof of a recent proficiency with a 9mm and must also have a minimum of either one year of security experience, one year of law enforcement or corrections experience (civilian or military) or one year of military service with an honorable discharge.

Allied Universal® is hiring a Bank Protection Officer (BPO). The Bank Protection Officer will maintain visible position in exterior locations of retail banking centers, providing deterrence of criminal activity and misconduct. The Bank Protection Officer may be expected to handle potential conflict and must be able to interact with bank customers and associates in a courteous manner.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
  • Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of previous security, safety, and/or protective experience such as law enforcement, military service with a favorable discharge, or Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
  • Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
