Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in building and maintaining a powerful integration platform, contributing to critical application development projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced, DevOps environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting software, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business needs and maintain our high standards of quality and performance. This position in located in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a full stack JavaScript developer, building and maintaining a robust integration platform for orchestrating integrations with numerous applications.
- Play a key role in delivering software solutions for critical application development projects in a DevOps environment.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
- Work with DevOps automation approaches involving GitHub/GITLAB.
- Develop, test, and execute operations procedures, contributing to the creation and documentation of current and future configuration processes and policies.
- Design and execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to evaluate software and system modifications.
- Use various programming languages to develop testing scripts.
- Employ automated or manual testing procedures to assess the functionality of software and applications.
- Perform white box, black box, and gray box testing procedures.
- Ensure software meets quality standards according to organization requirements and policies.
- Detect software bugs, errors, security issues, and non-standard coding practices, identifying problems and causes.
- Assess and interpret various types of metrics such as user acceptance, scalability, and performance.
- Write and deliver detailed reports on testing procedures results or findings.
- Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to development and security teams.
- Provide feedback to software development team members regarding necessary changes or improvements to the software.
- Communicate with development team about product requirements and make changes based on feedback.
- Remain current on Web development technologies, assess new standards, technologies, and trends, and formulate and recommend strategies and tactics for future platform enhancements.
- Continuously engage with project teams to deliver quality products.
- Ensure regular, effective communication with team members and cross-functional resources.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience using Agile and Scrum software development practices.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience testing applications developed using one or more programming languages such as C++, C#, Go, Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL, or JavaScript.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience using software testing methodologies, such as integration testing, acceptance testing, security testing and usability testing.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience cloud-computing environments to include Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience configuring and running compliance software.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience configuring and running automation tools.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with configuring and running test management tools.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with defect/bug tracking tools.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience testing web services, such as SOAP, REST, Parquet, and JSON.
- Experience with developing software in a professional setting.
- Experience with using .Net C#, Python, and/or React as a full-stack application language.
- Experience implementing Windows Desktop applications.
- Experience with building and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with asynchronous programming in promises, generators, or callbacks.
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing of server- and client-side JavaScript.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent technical degree; or in lieu of degree, 5 years of equivalent industry experience.
