KoBold Metals is a mineral exploration company inventing AI to explore for the metals we need for a low-carbon economy. Our business is discovering and developing mineral resources, and our objective is to achieve a step-change improvement in exploration success: we aim to discover more tier 1 resources, faster, and with fewer failures.

KoBold has built a fast-growing global portfolio of more than 50 exploration properties targeting nickel, copper, cobalt, and lithium, which range from 100%-owned to partnerships with majors, junior explorers, and prospectors.

Our team includes the best of the industry in exploration geoscience, data science, software engineering, operations, and business. Prior to joining KoBold, our team members made nearly 20 discoveries. Our exploration programs are co-led by our geoscientists and data scientists, who develop exploration hypotheses, rigorously quantify uncertainty in our understanding of the subsurface, and design data collection programs that most effectively reduce uncertainty, drawing upon a large suite of proprietary exploration technology built by our data scientists and software engineers. Our field programs validate and improve the system and have demonstrated material improvements over conventional exploration methods.

About the Position

 

As the Multimedia Content Creator, you will be responsible for creating stories and visuals about the work KoBold is doing for public-facing consumption across a variety of platforms.

 

Responsibilities

 

• You will work closely with the leaders of KoBold Metals to identify story opportunities and use visuals to help tell those stories
• You will create graphics and videos using Adobe software to help visually tell stories
• You will manage website content and updates using WordPress, including adding stories, graphics, videos and other content
• You will interview scientists and geologists across KoBold Metals to understand their work and produce content about the innovative technology KoBold is working on
• You will travel to KoBold events and work sites to generate content about our field programs and operations
• You will drive the creation and execution of communications plans across all channels - social, web, events, etc. - for KoBold Metals

 

Qualifications

 

You must have:

• High proficiency with WordPress
• High proficiency in Adobe Suite, including Adobe Premier, InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Figma
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a communications or multi-media creation role for a public-facing brand or organization
• Proven project management skills, with an ability to get things done efficiently in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment
• A desire to be constantly learning new things; deep intellectual curiosity and drive to understand all aspects of KoBold’s business
• Enjoyment in working with people in a wide variety of disciplines

This position is full-time, exempt.

Location: Remote, Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada. 

 

The US base salary range for this full-time exempt position is $95,000 - $110,000.
