About This PositionReporting to the Senior Director, Data Center Strategy, this role will have a technical strategy focus, and will support Intersect Power’s data center efforts in defining and managing the technical strategy throughout the development and construction lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a seasoned data center professional, and possesses project management experience with either a data center Hyperscaler, large colocation provider, or leading data center focused engineering firm, architecture group, or general contractor. This position will work cross-functionally between Intersect’s data center strategy team, engineering, development, and third-party partners and consultants.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for driving Intersect Powers technical strategy for its data center projects across IP’s portfolio of renewable locations.
- Manage project-specific due diligence, design, construction, and operations planning.
- Responsible for estimating and managing cost, schedule, and quality of development-stage projects.
- Identify and communicate project risks, delays, and obstacles to appropriate stakeholder groups, and present justifiable solutions and action plans to correct, overcome, or mitigate issues.
- Use industry experience to support IP's evaluation and selection of key partners, including Architecture and Engineering consultants, General Contractor (GC) partners, and other key third parties critical to data center development.
- Leverage experience to evaluate, recommend, and implement tools to streamline reporting and tracking of KPIs, goals, program statuses, and other important data.
Qualifications and Skills
- 7+ years of experience in the data center industry, with a focus on strategy, siting, or contracting.
- Proven experience in a manager-level role or similar, managing complex projects and leading initiatives and teams.
- Strong understanding of the technical aspects of data center development, construction and operations
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Technical program management experience with a focus on data centers
- Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems in mission critical environments.
- Knowledge of the data center development process - horizontal development through data center operations - and a deep understanding of development phase interfaces and independencies.
- Strong relationships with leading data
