Senior Manager, Email Marketing

The Senior Manager, Email Marketing, serves a critical operational and analytical role, leveraging expertise in Salesforce and marketing strategy to continually drive sales and marketing transformation for the entire Mount Sinai Health System, including seven hospitals, one medical school, and more than 300 locations. S/he will be responsible for the management and execution of loyalty email and SMS campaigns on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated understanding of email strategy and uses insights to drive campaign efficiency and effectiveness. The role will require a mix of analytics, project management, and the ability to execute and assess the performance of campaigns. Reports to Senior Director, Digital Marketing.
- End to end management of all Salesforce email and SMS campaigns. Activities include:
- Developing the email and SMS strategy and manage content
- Setting up and deploying email and SMS marketing campaigns, including the QC of all campaigns to validate creative content, links, and copy
- Analyzing campaign performance, reporting on key metrics and providing actionable insights based on available data
- Manage email customer database, including extracting strategic insights from database to drive actionable segmentation
- Increase the impact of email campaigns with A/B testing and content optimization
- Set up and monitor email journeys, and automation with static and dynamic content with actionable trigger points to drive patient conversions
- Analyze campaign results, develop benchmarks, and create and share regular performance reports
- Maintain the IP domain management, analyzing IP reputation and sender domain scores
- Understanding of CAN-SPAM, and email regulatory compliance
- Understand the organizational business challenges and ensure that all email and SMS efforts are aligned to meet these objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including both technical and non-technical audiences; communicating clearly, concisely, and in a timely fashion
- Document and maintain ongoing operational processes; analyzing and reporting results to drive further optimization
- Produces deliverables within a diverse, fast-paced environment, responding with flexibility to a constantly changing and evolving environment
- Understands underlying business challenges and develops Salesforce technology-enabled solutions, designing and developing platform-based applications that meet business needs
- Partner with, Creative, Marketing, IT, and Operations business units, contributing actively to the planning and execution processes
- Be the in-house expert in Salesforce Marketing Cloud email marketing strategies and shape how we improve our email marketing efforts.

Education Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems [SK1] or related areas degree; Masters preferred though not required.
Experience Requirements
5+ years experience in email marketing, CRM and/or Digital Marketing Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Licensing and Certification Requirements (if applicable)
Certifications in Salesforce products (Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist) preferred though not a requirement.
Computer Skills
- Experience with HTML, CSS, SQL (including join statements), developing AMPSCRIPT code and Script for personalization, Contact Builder, Audience Builder, and Predictive Intelligence
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Exact Target)
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Tableau, and Jira

- Understanding of medical terminology and demonstrated competency in communicating effectively with clinical staff and Hospital personnel at all levels
- Health care marketing experience is a strong plus
