About the role

Description

The School of Nursing at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a general track faculty member with experience in Obstetrics/Maternal-Child Health. Candidates interested in a 12-month full-time or part-time faculty appointment are encouraged to apply. 

 

Duties include teaching, supervising students in an Obstetrics/Maternal-Child Health clinical environment, and managing administrative duties related to student advising and clincial coordination. 

 

Working among the nation's best nurse scholars, academics and students, the incumbent will prepare the next generation of nurses. This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of the nation's top schools, within a vibrant, engaging university community. Rank and compensation are dependent upon education, experience, and scholarship. The anticipated start date of this faculty position is fall 2023 or as soon as possible.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • MSN in nursing by the start date of the appointment 
  • At least two years of previous experience in Obstetrics/Maternal-Child Health nursing
  • Licensure in Virgnia by the start date of the appointment

Preferred: 

  • PhD or DNP
  • Certification or certification eligibility in Obstetrics/Maternal-Child Health nursing
