Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Research & Ethics Program Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Research & Ethics Program Coordinator, you will:
•Arranges and coordinates all aspects of the business, clinical, leadership, and research ethics meeting materials, including support and documentation of meetings with agendas, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials
•Serves as the primary resource for investigators regarding the administrative review requirements for human subjects research studies and responds to inquiries and requests in an appropriate and timely manner
•Supports development and dissemination of educational, marketing, and outreach materials for business, clinical, leadership, and research ethics
•Performs preliminary administrative review of human subjects research for consistency and completeness of materials and identifies problems and issues with submissions
•Issues outcome letters based on conditions imposed by the IRB
•Maintains accurate and complete records of all business, clinical, leadership, and research ethics activities, including study documentation
•Maintains training for all Ethics program stakeholders per policy to ensure compliance
•Performs consistently with the organization’s mission, vision, and values and adheres to institutional policies and federal regulations
•Performs other duties as assigned or directed to meet the objectives of the program and the institution


Qualifications Include:
•Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
•Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work assignments, as necessary
•Working knowledge of the regulations governing business, clinical, leadership, and research ethics
•Strong decision-making, independent judgment, and analytical skills in order to apply federal regulations to a variety of situations
•Frequent pressure to meet deadline requirements
•Requires judgment that could affect the image of the organization
•Works at PC involving focused concentration frequently
•Daily contact with stakeholders who seek or provide services for Adventist HealthCare
•An associate’s degree in a required field required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
•4 years of experience directly related to IRB administration and human subject research protections
•Certification as an IRB professional (CIP) and/or equivalent certification is preferred
