SSM Health is seeking an outpatient master’s prepared Psychotherapist to join our experienced behavioral health team, consisting of approximately 14 psychiatric prescribers and 30 therapists. The ideal candidate is skilled and experienced in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapeutic intervention in an outpatient setting for clients presenting with a wide array of emotional, social, and behavioral concerns. Duties may include evaluation, care collaboration, treatment planning, and psychotherapeutic intervention using various modalities (e.g., individual, group, family).
· Patient population is children ages 5-12 years.
· Position based in Janesville, WI
· Flexible FTE (0.8-1.0)
· No regular weekend or evening duties
· Monthly rotation of night/weekend telephone on-call schedule
· Guaranteed first year salary and then production-based pay

Requirements:
· Master’s degree (MFT, LPC, LCSW) in behavioral health or related field
· 32 patient contact hours per week (pro-rated for part-time)
· Active WI state licensure
· Completion of 3 years post graduate experience (3000 hours) preferred

Job Summary:
Manages psychological problems of patients through services consisting of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and psychotherapy.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans treatment based on the individual client’s needs as well as resources available from the organization and community resources.
- Works in coordination with professionals involved in patient’s care to ensure interdisciplinary collaboration and continuity of services.
- Keeps current knowledge of community resources for supplementary treatment of clients, and makes referrals which adequately and appropriately utilize these resources. Is available for consultation with other staff regarding community resources.
- Provides a continuum of short and long term psychotherapy to individuals, couples families and groups, based on individualized treatment plans.
- Maintains good communication and collaborative relationships with referring physicians and other staff, and recommends additional referrals for patients as needed.
- Carries out ongoing record keeping and case review of all psychotherapy work in compliance with state guidelines.
- Provides assessment (by telephone and in person) of suicidal and homicidal risk and immediacy of crisis situations.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
