Job Description:

METCOR/LSI has an immediate need for a Project Control Specialist to be a key member of the Operations team. The Project Control Specialist supports project teams through the life-cycle management of project deliverables, contract compliance, and financial information. This work includes planning, schedule/deliverable alignment, resource planning and monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and time and expense reporting. The successful candidate will have strong administrative and financial skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of management. This position is full-time, remote, and offers a long-term opportunity for growth within an established organization.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ensure the accurate, timely set-up and management of contracts in our Deltek Costpoint ERP system. This includes initial entry, modifications, workforce, employee management, and contract closeout.
  • Review financial reports to ensure accuracy and to identify potential issues.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial and execution reports for accuracy and to identify potential issues.
  • Monitor and maintain monthly budget vs. actual analysis for multiple contracts.
  • Monitor contract compliance, including deliverables and status reporting for multiple contracts.
  • Identify necessary corrections within the accounting system for time and cost accuracy.
  • Create financial forecasts based on input from the project and program managers.
  • Maintain forecasting reports for multiple contracts to identify and communicate risks such as cost overruns, underspending, and vacancy issues to the Operations team.
  • Assist the Operations team with travel coordination per contractual obligations.
  • Support the Operations team in problem resolution with contracting officers, contracting officer representatives, or other designated representatives.
  • Provide pricing support and risk identification for new opportunities.

What Required Experience, Skills, and Education You'll Bring:

  • Experience using Deltek Costpoint.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Proficiency with task management software, such as Microsoft Project or ClickUp.
  • Proficiency with advanced data and workflow visualization, integration, or customization tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Excel VBA is highly desired.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to multitask are essential.

Required Education and Preferred Experience for the Project Control Specialist role:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years in a Project Control role
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

Compensation

  • $50,000 to $75,000 annually
