About the role

Overview

This position collects, sorts, washes and dries facility linens, scrubs and resident personal clothing. This position also inspects and removes from service items unfit for use. Distributes these items throughout the building to ensure adequate supply of linens.

 

Pay & Benefits:

Shift Differentials Available: $2.00/hr. Weekend- $2.50/hr. Evening - $6.00/hr. Night

Responsibilities

  • Collects and sorts soiled linens from various locations into compatible washing types in preparation for washing. Loads washers with soiled linens, selecting the proper wash formula for the items loaded in the washer.
  • Performs finish work on linens and clothing including unloading washers, loading dryers, folding linens and distributing linens to storage areas throughout the facility. The distribution of linens also involves putting resident clothing in the correct residents closets and drawers.
  • Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors. 
  • Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

    Qualifications

    Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision. Must be able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Prior laundry experience preferred.
