About the role

The ARCHES Project is looking for a Training and Staff Wellness Specialist to join their team! The Training and Staff Wellness Specialist plays a key role in supporting the professional development and well-being of our team members. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and engagement while also developing initiatives that promote a culture of wellness, resilience, and work-life balance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, facilitation, and staff wellness programs, with a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in Administration, Social Services, or a related field.

  • Two years of experience in training, facilitation of trainings, and/or staff development.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Driver qualifications are required for this position. Valid driver license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and a satisfactory drive record for the previous three years are required.

  • Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.

  • Basic Life Support/First Aid Certification is required within first 30 days of hire.

  • Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Office (including Outlook), videoconferencing platforms, and web tools.

  • Must possess excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.

  • Possesses highly effective interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups orally and in writing.

  • Knowledge of effective wellness practices in the workplace.

  • Ability to present content, for purposes of training, to groups of adults.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

  • Maintains an accountability training tracker to ensure compliance and progress.

  • Manages the training calendar, ensuring all necessary sessions are scheduled and tracked.

  • Tracks agency trainers and manages their schedules to facilitate timely training sessions.

  • Coordinates the scheduling of training programs, arranges sign-ups, and ensures participation.

  • Implements wellness initiatives that support employees' mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

    • Collaborates with leadership to integrate wellness strategies into organizational policies and culture.

  • Stays up to date with best practices in adult learning, organizational development, and staff wellness.

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training and wellness initiatives through feedback and performance metrics.

  • Organizes wellness workshops, mindfulness sessions, and other staff engagement activities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not directly supervise staff.
