Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Corporate Shared Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Workplace Strategy Senior Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to create succinct strategic plans and workplace strategies by understanding the business needs of various functions within Toyota, analyzing industry benchmarks, developing KPIs/countermeasures, and gaining executive consensus. In addition, this position will execute projects of varied sizes and types as well as develop standards for interior environments. 

Reporting to the Workplace Strategy Manager – People & Property Services, the person in this role will be a workplace subject matter expert to support the Corporate Shared Services department's objective to provide best-in-class People and Property Services supporting the creation and sustainment of optimum Team Member work environments.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Lead Office Interiors Renewal program across North American portfolio to remodel office spaces to align with new One Toyota design standards; Collaborate with internal stakeholder groups to ensure workplace solutions align with standards, help manage risk, and create risk mitigation measures.
  • Create business cases, develop countermeasures/plans, gain consensus, and execute projects of varied sizes and types concurrently; Maintain project trackers and dashboards to clearly address issues to keep projects in scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Read and interpret construction document sets and redline required changes to ensure new construction projects and expansions meet One Toyota standards.
  • Create and maintain national strategies and interior workplace standards and guidelines for office locations within the TMNA portfolio to include furniture, fixtures, lighting, small equipment, signage, branding/artwork, and entitlement standards.
  • Work closely with the procurement and contracts team on all furniture, finishes, and branding national contracts (MSA, SOW, and PO Terms and Conditions).
  • Manage customer and cross-organizational relationships (benchmark analysis, workplace solutions, problem-solving, business review prep/execution/follow-up, coaching, process development) to ensure standardization and clear communication across multiple projects, various sites, and vendors.
  • Manage national OEM/Dealer and vendor operational relationships (KPI updates and analysis, strategic planning, and problem-solving); Ensure contract adherence; Provide constructive coaching and advice to strategic partners.
  • Create professional visual presentations for executive review that convey strategic design options and recommendations for decision support.
  • Enter purchase requisitions in Ariba system for vendor POs and approvals for invoice submittals by vendors.
  • Establish and lead recurring meetings with internal customers, stakeholders, outside AE firms, and vendors to discuss project status, workplace solutions, strategic initiatives, project updates, problem-solving initiatives, kaizen initiatives, and yokoten updates.
  • Perform TBP-based problem-solving to resolve issues with systemic, sustainable countermeasures.
  • Regular genchi genbutsu (go see) to review existing conditions in order to justify and identify the need for new project recommendations.

Travel Expectations

  • Willingness for 20-30% travel and availability to respond to customer expectations in a timely manner.

What you bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated work experience in executive visioning, space planning and programming, interior design planning, and project management.
  • Advanced ability to read & interpret facility space plans and construction documents (finish plans, MEP drawings, finish schedules, RCPs), to question/understand effects of constructability, code compliance, operational challenges as well as other supporting roles (IT, cabling, infrastructure, code) related to facility strategy and standards.
