Production Material Handler

Summary-
Primary responsibility is to work with Production Supervisors coordinating daily production floor activities, including housekeeping. Reads work instructions or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. 2nd shift Position. Hourly Rate starts at $22.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply work cells with materials as needed
• Load or unload materials as needed
• FIFO all material to the line and in storage areas
• Read part numbers and show distinction between part numbers
• Bring correct containers to work area without disrupting production
• Place finished goods in proper area
• Report any equipment issues to active supervisor or manager
• Ability to stop the process in event of nonconformity
• Uses Help Chain for equipment problems and scrap/quality issues.
• Communicates production issues relating to the assigned job with previous / next shift operator.
• Ensures proper tagging / labeling of produced parts.
• Follows ISO 14001 requirements per standards.
• Works with team members / management staff to attain Company goals.
• Responsible for contributing to a team atmosphere in the assigned work cell as well as the department overall.
• Maintains 5S standards as they relate to housekeeping in the assigned work area.
• Reports any and all safety issues immediately to supervisor / team leader / management staff.
• Maintains compliance to Company policies, work rules, safety standards and housekeeping policies.

Working Requirements:
• Previous experience preferred, but not required.
• Able to operate a hi-lo/fork-lift.
• Complete and Pass Ventra GR29 Forklift Trainings.
• Able to perform in a high-paced environment.

Working Conditions
• Upper body mobility is required along with the physical requirements of lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling.
• Must be able to sit 90% of the time.
• Ability to work inside and outside, in cold and hot environments.
• Able to lift / carry using one or two hands from 1 lb. to 50 lbs
• Overtime as required.
Must wear required PPE at all time.
