Objective of Position

Candidate will join the North American (NA) Healthcare Compliance Team as NA Healthcare Compliance Intern.  The Team manages a comprehensive North American Healthcare Compliance program to promote company policy consistent with applicable laws, industry best practices, and ethical values; supports Grifols' global healthcare compliance activities; and supports due diligence activities worldwide.  Position is located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.  The position is hybrid with three days in the office each week and two days remote.  The position will support activities across multiple divisions.

Representative tasks include:

 

• Support Grifols healthcare professional hiring and engagement review process
• Assist with compliance auditing and monitoring
• Review state ethics codes of conduct
• Assist with federal and state transfer of value reporting (e.g., review reports for compliance with state laws, aggregate data, review flagged titles)
• Develop and refresh slide decks for compliance training and/or meetings
• Participate in investigations, as needed
• Attend relevant meetings as an observer and/or notetaker
• Additional projects, as they arise, that support an effective US Healthcare compliance program

 

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement is enrollment in a four-year degree program as a rising junior or senior.  Applicants with additional education and experience are welcome.  Assigned work will be commensurate with education and experience.

• Interest in US and international anti-corruption laws and regulations
• Interest in US healthcare compliance laws and regulations
• Interest in US healthcare business operations
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong ethics, concern for standards, and desire to help others do the right thing
• Ability to perform duties with the highest degree of confidentiality, objectivity, and fairness
• Basic proficiency with standard MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PPT
