The Sr. Application Developer, Salesforce is responsible for programming technical solutions on the force.com platform. Responsible for serving as lead developer to add features and functionality to meet sophisticated enterprise business requirements. Responsible for providing API and web service work, maintaining the NPSP data model, problem resolution, and communication with vendor technical resources. Also, responsible for partnering with other engineers, developers, business analysts, and Salesforce administrators – a collaborative mentality is essential.

Responsibilities
- Serves as technical expert on new project initiatives and participates in application design sessions. Assists with planning for and implementation of approved initiative. Communicates and interprets application requirements and modifications to vendor and Business Technology technical staff.
- Develops project work plans and manages project to completion in accordance with plans which may include formulating system scope and objectives, developing detailed design specifications, and translating system function/features to programming specifications. Advises project team of status and time estimates for work on a regular basis.
- Provides leadership and mentors Business Technology team members on Salesforce functionality and best practices.
- Performs environment management to ensure a stable and structured environment. Provides technical documentation and environment audit trails for the application. Maintains Salesforce releases and upgrades.
- Manages CI/CD and deployment techniques in Salesforce.
- Updates application procedures and standards as necessary to record best practices. Completes and communicates modifications to user operations or documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Programming Language Certification
- Demonstrated technical & functional knowledge of Salesforce CRM
- Proficiency in coding and programming key Salesforce core programming languages
- Strong understanding of Salesforce APIs and REST/SOAP webs services
- Strong experience with CI/CD and deployment techniques in Salesforce
- Experience maintaining Salesforce.com in a complex environment
- Experience with key areas of enterprise architecture, including integration technologies
