The Role

The mission of the Compliance Quality Assurance (QA) team at Block is to provide timely feedback on decision-making; constructive observations; valuable insight into trends, processes, and procedures, while highlighting opportunities for efficiency. Through comprehensive case sampling and assessment, the QA team will validate that agent decisions align with established Compliance policies, procedures, and processes. The methodical approach ensures thorough oversight of operational activities while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

This role will lead a team of QA analysts performing case sampling and program assessment, with a view to identify trends and improve the overall program health. You will collaborate with Compliance Leads and other relevant stakeholders to review metrics. You will support the Quality Lead with the program framework, documentation, validation of and overall design and effectiveness of the program. You will demonstrate excellent regulatory, process and systems design, data analytics, and documentation abilities.

You Will

  • Oversee QA team operations, including training, hiring, coaching, and managing staff and program development
  • Develop and maintain procedures applicable to the team, existing workflows, and streamline/ enhance efficiency
  • Create, monitor, and report on QA metrics and trends observed within the Operations program to key stakeholders
  • Work with Compliance Leads to implement programmatic opportunities and address enhanced training needs to reduce error rates
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on BSA/AML regulatory changes and landscape

You Have

  • 5+ years in a BSA/AML compliance operations role with a financial services or Fintech, with 2+ years in Compliance QC/QA
  • People management experience, including coaching and developing compliance specialists/ analysts
  • Operational knowledge in executing and running a sound Compliance program with hands-on knowledge of MSB regulatory requirements
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate, and problem-solve issues with team members of all levels, and cross-functional partners across various lines of business as well as senior management
  • Proficiency in BSA/AML laws and regulations, including having the ability to analyze regulations for determining applicable program requirements
  • A metrics-driven approach to create substantiated solutions and efficiency
  • Ability to present trends and communicate data findings to senior leadership
  • Relevant industry certifications (CAMS, CGSS, CFE, CFCS, CRCM)
