Material Handler, 1st Shift – Simi Valley, CA

We have an opportunity for a Material Handler to join our Simi Valley team.  You will support the Materials team by picking and preparing orders, receiving, moving, and storing materials, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

You will:

• Pick and prepare orders for shipping and utilize requisitions and order sheets to pick a wide variety of items.
• Pack incoming stock away, taking inventory and reporting shortages.
• Keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Pick orders as requested by management, ensure correct shipping information is attached, and move completed orders to shipping area.
• Seal and tag containers, confirming accuracy of orders and signing pick tickets to confirm.
• Place containers on pallets, secure with stretch wrap, shrink wrap, and strap containers to pallet.
• Pick, place, and load products using forklifts, carts, and pallet jacks.

Key Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1 year of prior forklift experience (stand up forklift and sit-down forklift)
• SAP/ERP experience preferred
• Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds continuously throughout the day.
• Steel-toed footwear is required.

Shift/Hours:

• 1st shift: Monday – Friday, 7am-3:40pm (may work until 5pm depending on workload)
• Must be able to work overtime, on weekends, and outside of shift times as needed.

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $19.00 - $22.00/hour, DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
