About the role
Internal and external candidates will be considered for this vacancy. For the purposes of this vacancy, internal candidates are defined as staff members holding a regular, fixed-term or short-term graded or ungraded contract, including Junior Professional Officers (JPOs), staff on Special Leave Without Pay (SLWOP), and staff members on secondment/loan released by the Organization, unless otherwise specified in their contract. Staff members holding a regular, fixed-term or short-term graded contract will not retain their contract type if appointed to an ungraded position.
Context
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Associate (Social Inclusion & Integration), the MHPSS Specialist (Social Inclusion) Support provides group-based MHPSS interventions and community-based psychosocial support to promote the mental well-being and social inclusion of migrants.

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Associate (Social Inclusion & Integration), the MHPSS Specialist (Social Inclusion) Support provides group-based MHPSS interventions and community-based psychosocial support to promote the mental well-being and social inclusion of migrants.
1. Group and Community-Based MHPSS Activities
- Design and facilitate group MHPSS sessions for migrants.
- Implement community-based psychosocial activities to promote social cohesion.
2. Psychoeducation and Awareness
- Organize psychoeducation workshops and awareness campaigns to strengthen resilience.
- Provide technical support to staff on inclusive MHPSS approaches.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Assess the effectiveness of group-based MHPSS interventions.
- Document and report on lessons learned and best practices.
4. Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of group MHPSS activities, ensuring adherence to IOM’s data protection policies.
- University degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution with three years of relevant experience; or
- high school diploma with five years of experience.
- Experience in facilitating MHPSS activities in community settings.
- Knowledge of mental health promotion, psychoeducation, and social inclusion frameworks.
- Strong facilitation and community engagement skills.
- Experience in group-based psychosocial interventions.
- For this position, fluency in Ukrainian is required (oral and written).
- Fluency in Hungarian and/or English is a distinct advantage.
