OTR Fleet Driver

The driver will safely and efficiently drive a commercial truck for extended hours to pick up and deliver freight. Drives truck, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver goods locally to the airline and/or customer as determined by service level of shipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

• To load, unload, and transport cargo to and from customer locations and airport. 

• Maintain telephone contact with dispatcher to receive instructions. 

• Neatly complete bill of ladings and MAWB’s (Master Airway Bill) for airlines in order to tender freight. 

• Maintain driver logbook and daily vehicle inspection report according to I.C.C regulations. 

• Interact daily with customers. 

• Sit, stand, climb, lift 50 lbs. Must be able to load cargo weighing in excess of 1000 lbs with the assistance of a pallet jack 

​​QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma 

• 3-5 years commercial OTR driving experience 

• Must hold valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B license

• Must hold active medical card.

• Ability to operate handheld computer / cellular telephone. Time management, processing paperwork 

• Must be able to use a lift gate, and a pallet jack

• Must have experience using ELD for logging

• Must have basic knowledge of computers and email.  The ability to operate handheld device used to communicate shipment information
