Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend/Front-End/DevOps)

Would you like to be part of Danske Bank Mainframe Services, and play an important role in bank’s Forward ‘28 strategy? Our team is responsible for the bank’s Mainframe, and we own solutions across various technology stacks and platforms, such as Mainframe, OpenShift and Azure DevOps. 

We are a squad of experienced professionals focused on improving Mainframe Services for our customers, partners and external developers. We are working on building new services to facilitate the bank’s Forward ‘28 strategy and Mainframe Optimisation and migrating some of our solutions to AWS. We are seeking a senior full-stack engineer to join us and help build essential features in-house.

Your first delivery will be an AWS migration of an important front-end + backend solution within our squad. You will: 

• Develop and maintain our Front-End and Backend solutions.
• Participate in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for our internal services and external consumers.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security by following best practices.
• Take ownership of the development lifecycle by overseeing the deployment and operation of solutions in production, being prepared to assist with escalated production issues as needed.

About you:

• Comprehensive experience with backend development, producing and consuming REST APIs, using modern frameworks.
• Proficiency in front-end development using modern frameworks (React, Angular).
• Strong skills in DevOps, particularly with Docker and Azure Pipelines. 
• Thrive to take ownership and support customers, partners and developers.
• Curious, eager to learn, and enjoy sharing knowledge, while adapting to the bank's evolving technology landscape.
• Problem-solving skills, and attention to detail and quality.
• Communication (upper-intermediate English) skills, both verbal and written.

 

It is a plus if you:

• Have some Mainframe knowledge. 
• Have experience setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Have experience developing automated tests, perhaps with Playwright. 
• Know technologies such as MQ and event streaming (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Have worked with workload automation, such as Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
• Have experience using databases.
