Functions
Through this program, KITCO Fiber Optics is seeking motivated Interns to work and learn in our Fiber Optics instructor located in Norfolk, VA. The successful candidate will participate in a practical, structured, systematic program of on-the-job training AND related instruction to develop existing military technical experience. Internship will be 6 – 12 weeks long and can only commence within 180 days before leaving active duty service.

- Fiber Optic Courses as student
- Fiber Optic Course as Instructor
- NAVSEA Quals
- OSHA Training
- Other tasks as assigned supporting Training Department and Field Services Department
Work Requirements
- Must be 18 years in age or older
- Must pass drug screen
- Strongly prefer candidates with High School Diploma
- Must have experience in Microsoft Suite
- Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must demonstrate attention to details
- Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and practices
- Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instruction 1322.29 and NAVADMIN 222/15
- Command approval verified by the VDVS.
