As a CT Technologist on the Mobile Stroke Ambulance, you will play a critical role in responding to stroke patients in a 911 emergency setting, delivering advanced mobile imaging technology to the scene. This position offers a unique level of autonomy, requiring independent decision-making, adaptability, and critical thinking in time-sensitive, high-stakes stroke care. You will be at the forefront of innovation, helping to shape the future of mobile stroke care and expanding access to life-saving treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex mobile CT imaging under direct supervision in the pre-hospital environment, producing diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structures in real-time stroke evaluations.
- Operate cutting-edge mobile CT technology with expert proficiency, including post-processing/3D workstations and power injectors for IV contrast administration.
- Ensure accurate image archival and verification of complete studies on the PACS System, supporting real-time stroke decision-making.
- Collect and document critical imaging and procedural data to support ongoing research and performance improvement in mobile stroke care.
- Collaborate with EMS teams, emergency physicians, and nursing staff to deliver rapid, coordinated stroke treatment in the field.
- Demonstrate a high level of autonomy, utilizing clinical expertise to adapt imaging protocols and troubleshoot equipment in dynamic, unpredictable environments.
