The Agency Channel at Next supports 4 key groups of agents;
- Top 50 Brokers & Agency Groups in the US
- Premier (high new business producing agencies
- Wholesaler, and
- Express Agents. Express agents are those newly appointed with NEXT and often beginning their commercial insurance journey.
As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will work closely with the Express Agency Manager and play a crucial role in driving new business production and enhancing customer relations. Your primary responsibilities will involve making outbound calls to our new express agents, with the aim of increasing new sales within the first 30 days of appointment. Additionally, you will proactively contact identified express agents to gather feedback on key initiatives and understand their specific needs.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct outbound calls to all our new express agents to generate engagement and new sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with express agents, serving as a trusted point of contact.
- Utilize persuasive communication skills to effectively present product information and value propositions to potential clients.
- Gather feedback from express agents regarding key initiatives, product enhancements, and overall agent experience and proactively identify new opportunities to maximize success with Express agents.
- Manage the new agent onboarding webinars, conducting informative sessions and addressing any questions or concerns from agents.
- Collaborate with the licensing team to address any gaps in the lower funnel and ensure a seamless appointment process.
- Collaborate with the Express Channel Manager to develop strategies for improving sales performance and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, agent interactions, and feedback received.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and objectives within the Express Division.
- Take ownership of the entire onboarding funnel, from approved sign-up to granting access, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Assist in converting "in progress" and pending Express agency appointments into successful appointments by troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Additional outreach projects as assigned, supporting the overall growth and success of the Express Division.
What You’ll Need
- Proven track record of achieving activity and/or sales targets in a high-call-volume role.
- 3+ years of sales experience (commercial insurance industry preferred)
- Exceptional follow-up and tracking skills to ensure timely engagement
- Strong phone presence communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with customers effectively.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with agents.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to generate insights from data and reports.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Property and Casualty insurance license strongly preferred
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US annual base salary range for this full-time position:$60,000—$70,000 USD
