About the role

Location: Summerville,South Carolina,United States

 The Production Manager position will recruit, train and lead a world class base of window and door installation and support talent with enough capacity to install between 97% -105% of sales while maintaining Green Diamond level HOS scores.

·      Lead and manage the following departments: Installation, Measurement (IPM’s), Service, Warehouse Operations.

·      Apply sound business judgement and accepted management practices to assure that the quality and capacity of the production pipeline meets or exceeds the required need. Ensure all projects have been installed and delivered in a manner commensurate with customer expectations, company policies and financial objectives.

  • Ensures that contractual and other commitments are kept, and that the company complies with approved policies, procedures, safety and ethical standards as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor, report and coach on KPI’s related to the Production organization to ensure the monthly, quarterly, and annual goals are being met, including NPS scores, measure accuracy, first time installation, service and warehouse performance metrics among others.
  • Procuring, vetting, and training new subcontractors.
  • Contribute and develop Production policies and processes for best practice.
  • Manage, coach, and train the Installation Project Managers, Service Technicians, and Warehouse Associates to plan, organize and direct activities and scopes of work.
  • Host Production meetings & Signature Service training sessions as needed.

·      Primary accountability for communication and prompt resolution of any project placed into Job-In-Progress (JIP) status, including directing work activities of installation teams and/or subcontractors, supply chain, scheduling and warehouse resources.

·      Primary accountability for ensuring EPA lead-safe work practice procedures, as applicable, from installers.

·      Perform in progress and post-installation assessments for installations to meet established standards. Prescribe work and materials necessary to correct process or installation deficiencies.

·      Promote/enable the Renewal by Andersen experience with every interaction

  • Management of the entirety of the installation life cycle of all window and door installations for the company.

  • Partner with the Sales team and other departments to recruit, train and develop the essential personnel for the Production team.

  • Handles staff employee problems and disciplines as necessary.

  • Conducts regular reviews and recommends courses of action to improve overall crew and direct report’s performance.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight and management of company installers and/or subcontractors as required to ensure productivity and standards of employees and/or subcontractors. Determine job specializations among installation employees and/or subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Proactively recognizes situations that could impact customer expectations, job costs and/or required residential building codes. Create documented solutions when issues arise.
  • Conducts regular reviews and recommends courses of action to improve overall crew and employee performance with a particular focus on productivity and overtime minimization.

Other Related Duties

  • Supports and reinforces company safety initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements and fosters a healthy work environment.
  • Determine a clear course of action to ensure the success of underperforming personnel and crews as it pertains to first time completion, customer satisfaction and job profitability.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience:

·      5-7 years of experience in construction project management, estimating or engineering, with strong preference given to experience in residential construction. Highly organized, accurate, personable, with the ability to reflect empathy to customers

·      3-5 years of experience in roles requiring an acute attention to detail.

·      High school graduate

Preferred (not required):

·      College degree

·      Contractors License

Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
