The Role
As the Director, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence at GeoComply, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-based decision-making across the company. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of our data and business intelligence strategy, ensuring the availability, accuracy, and usability of data assets for various business units. This role will involve leading a team across multiple disciplines, collaborating with stakeholders, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.

The Role
As the Director, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence at GeoComply, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-based decision-making across the company. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of our data and business intelligence strategy, ensuring the availability, accuracy, and usability of data assets for various business units. This role will involve leading a team across multiple disciplines, collaborating with stakeholders, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the vision and strategic direction for our overall data infrastructure, business intelligence platform, report development, and scientific study;
- Oversee the design and maintenance of data architectures, data models, and data pipelines to support data warehousing and analytics, ensuring security, scalability, and performance;
- Lead organization-wide requirements gathering for internal reporting, develop prioritization in alignment with business priorities, and deliver usable solutions for end customers;
- Understand the “why” behind customers' requests, ensuring related solutions answer the deeper question and achieve the related business objective;
- Drive the development of business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to empower decision-makers with actionable insights;
- Partner with business leaders to define key performance indicators and related metrics to meet GeoComply’s business objectives and strategic goals.
- Work directly with product teams and business leaders to identify opportunities to improve products, tools, data, and analytics;
- Develop science roadmaps, deploying appropriate scientific query, and execute complex projects with clear business recommendations;
- Continually improve ongoing processes, automating, or simplifying self-service support for customers;
- Recognize and adopt best practices, including data integrity, accuracy, and reliability, as well as documentation;
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, business intelligence engineers, and data scientists to drive organizational excellence;
- Leverage strong communication skills and a passion for using data and analysis to drive business decisions at scale.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, business intelligence, computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in data management, data analytics, or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven experience with data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
