About the role

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse and distribution center operations within a high-volume automotive parts environment. This role ensures efficient receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and personnel management while maintaining a safe, productive, and customer-focused operation. The Warehouse Operations Manager drives continuous improvement initiatives, achieves operational KPIs, and ensures accurate inventory control to support customer satisfaction and business growth.
Today, Replacement Parts, Inc. and Crow Burlingame are made up of a corporate staff and several different companies, including Parts Warehouse Inc. (PWI). We employ approximately 1,400 employees, in twelve (12) states, working at approximately 220 locations, all operating in the aftermarket automotive parts, paint and heavy-duty parts business. In 2019, our company celebrated 100 years of serving our communities as a privately held business with most of our employees spending the majority of their working lives as part of the "Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts" family.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operations Management
• Lead and manage all warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.
• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer, retail, wholesale, and e-commerce orders.
• Develop and implement warehouse processes that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor daily workflow and staffing levels to meet operational demands and service level expectations.
• Coordinate with transportation, purchasing, inventory control, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate inventory records and achieve inventory accuracy goals.
• Oversee cycle counting programs and annual physical inventories.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, shortages, and stock adjustments.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of automotive parts, including hazardous materials when applicable.
• Optimize warehouse layout and slotting to maximize space utilization and picking efficiency.
Leadership & Team Development
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors, leads, and associates.
• Conduct performance evaluations and implement employee development plans.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
• Manage workforce scheduling, attendance, labor utilization, and overtime.
Safety & Compliance
• Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and warehouse operating procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and lead corrective action initiatives.
• Ensure equipment operators are properly trained and certified.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, transportation, and industry regulations.
Performance Management
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including:

◦ Labor cost management
◦ Safety metrics
◦ Customer service levels
• Analyze operational data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership.

• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, RF scanners, and inventory management software.

Qualifications
Required
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience in a distribution or automotive parts environment.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors and hourly employees.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and logistics processes.
• Experience using WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices.
