Job Description

Your role

Our Technology Center in Cluj-Napoca is growing rapidly. We are looking for a motivated Software QA Automation Lead to join our team and drive the technical excellence of our QA efforts.

In this role you will provide technical expertise to support our test automation teams in their pursuit of product excellence. You will oversee the testing automation process, ensuring it aligns with best practices and modern tools and technologies. As a technical lead for multiple teams, your responsibilities will extend to maximizing the outcomes of test automation across multiple enterprise products. Your role also involves reporting and analyzing the plans and results of automation teams, offering insights to enhance test coverage and efficiency. Beyond your technical leadership, you will act as a mentor and coach for team members, fostering growth and skill development in a collaborative and innovative environment. Your tasks

  • Be the expert and technical leader in a team of 15+ colleagues and coordinate the QA automation efforts, in collaboration with all the teams involved in delivery process
  • Contribute to the development of automation project plans, scope and schedule, communicating with various stakeholders impacted by automation
  • Act as the main point of contact for technical direction, all the while helping your colleagues to gain more exposure and space for decision making
  • Research and experiment with solutions for potential blockages, performance issues, scalability opportunities
  • Support, maintain and enhance all test case automation related activities during development and delivery stage
  • Design, develop and execute automated scripts and integrate automation tools
  • Champion for QA Automation best practices and scalable approach.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in leading/ guiding a QA Automation team, by providing technical direction and clarifying requirements
  • Strong experience with manual & automated testing experiences
  • Strong ethics of coding and QA automation practices
  • Experience with UI testing automation using: Selenium, JavaScript, Java, Cypress, Playwright or similar
  • Experience with API testing automation using: Postman, Protractor, SoapUI or similar
  • Experience with performance and security testing tools like JMeter, Taurus, OWASP Zap, is a big plus
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or other similar
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Very good English and presentation skills.
