Application and Data Specialist

The Application and Data Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the organization's ERP system (Infor CSI – Cloud Suite Industrial) and Sales/Service CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), as well as developing and maintaining the PowerBI platform. This position will also contribute to various business projects, providing data-driven insights and solutions to enhance organizational performance.  The position will also liaise with onsite and remote IT employees to provide guidance and support on various desktop support (hardware/software support) and infrastructure support questions (network/server). This position will support both Dynisco and Alpha Technology companies. This role is based in the Alpha Technologies location in Hudson OH.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infor Syteline Management:
• Administer, configure, and optimize the Infor Syteline ERP system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user queries.
• Reporting and form development to suite business requirements.
2. Microsoft Dynamics Management:
• Oversee the administration and support of Microsoft Dynamics applications.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system requirements and customize solutions accordingly.
• Manage relationship with current external support vendor.
3. PowerBI Development and Management:
• Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Integrate PowerBI with various data sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Provide training and support to users in leveraging PowerBI tools effectively.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Conduct data analysis to support strategic initiatives and business projects.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and insights based on stakeholder requirements.
• Monitor and ensure data integrity across all platforms.

 

1. Special Business Projects:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive special business projects.
• Provide technical expertise and data-driven recommendations to support project goals.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
2. Documentation and Training:
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Develop and deliver training materials to end-users to enhance system utilization.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in application management, data analysis, and reporting.
• Technical Skills:

• Deep experience with ERP and CRM systems (company currently uses Infor CSI and Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong experience with PowerBI, including report design, data modeling, and dashboard creation.
• Solid understanding of SQL and data integration techniques.
• Project Management: Experience in managing or participating in business projects is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in Infor Syteline, Microsoft Dynamics, or PowerBI.
• Experience with other BI tools or ERP systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices.

Work Environment:

• This role may require occasional travel or extended hours to meet project deadlines.
